Prince and Princess Overview////
Once, a long time ago, in some forgotten land, lived a princess born of immense spiritual power. Her strength was so great that those who desired her power would come of far and wide to take it for their own. To protect her, a number of knights were called from all corners of the kingdom to protect her. And so great was her beauty that the knights came from even beyond the kingdom's limits with the hope of catching even a glimpse of her face, and for the rumors that she would wed the most valiant of them.

But all their numbers were of no avail, for a single demon walked into the courtyard in the broad of day, slaughtering any and all of the knights who got near him, devouring their souls as he went. His bone white mask and limitless strength shattered the courage of all but a single knight, who stood steadfast between the princess and the knight. Seeing that he was the meagerest of the knights, in both strength and arms, the demon chose not to slay him, but to instead enjoy himself with the last who stood before his goal.

He beat the man for untold time, and yet the man, who wore not even armor, rose again and again. And again and again he was beaten down. Finally he fell, his body too battered to move. The demon stepped over his body and charges at the princess. In his haste to get at her, he tore a single golden ring on a silver chain from her neck. And the demon continued his charge.

The ring landed in front of the knight. His mind was lost in despair, silent at the thought of loosing the princess. The man's fingers wrapped around the ring as the princess called put to him. In her plight, her powers ran out of control and flowed through the ring, which was a gift from her grandmother, and her most precious possession.

In a brilliant flash of light, the ring transmuted itself into a brilliant sword of gold, and an armor of the same. In a flash, the knight swept forward and cleaved the demon in twain, severing the left from the right.

The princess in the preceding tale was the first Prince(Purinsu) or Princess(Purinsesu), a human of great spiritual power who is able to both lend their strength to another, as well as to create large-scale, dramatic and powerful spells that have the potential strength to slay a thousand demons in one blow. The condouit for that power that they lend to another is called a 'Favor', and it is believed by those in the know that the ritual of a princess giving a knight a favor is decended from this. They are also able to use the reiki in the air for their abilities, but this is rarely taken advantage of given the general lack of large quantities of reiki.

The knight in the preceeding tale was the first 'Knight'(Naito), a person who has received a favor and a bond from a Prince(Purinsu) or a Princess(Purinsesu). Through that favor, and the bond it represents, the Knight receives Reiki from their Prince or Princess, which acts to boost their strength, speed, and durability. That Favor also becomes a weapon that the Knight could use to defend themselves against even non-material enemies.

As the two develop their bond, the knight gains the ability to evolve their weapon further, releasing it up to two additional stages.

Prince(ss) Racial Abilities////

'Magic': An ability similar in nature to the Shinigami Kido, Princes(ses) are able to use Reiyoku from the surrounding atmosphere to create 'spells'. While these spells can take almost any form, the stronger a spell is, the longer a chant is required, with some taking as long as three full turns. Also, the Prince(ss) is unable to use high speed movement techniques while performing a chant, and if the chant is stopped midway for any reason, it must be begun again. When creating their character, a Prince or Princess must choose between offensive or regenerative and defensive magic.

Favor: As part of the establishment of the partnership between the Prince(ss) and the Knight, a favor is given from the Prince(ss) to the Knight. This Favor acts not only as a link between the two, allowing for the transfer of Reiyoku from the Prince(ss) to the Knight, but also is able to transmute into a weapon for the Knight to wield.

Knight Strengthening: By transferring Reiyoku to the Knight, a Prince(ss) is able to boost the physical abilities of the Knight, making them stronger and faster, and better able to protect the Prince(ss). The boost is calculated by adding 40%, or two fifths(rounded to the nearest whole point of the Princes(ses) Racial Ability score onto each of the Knight's three main physical Scores, strength, speed, and defense.. The Prince(ss) can choose to invoke this ability for a predetermined amount of time, in which case the total amount of Reiyoku is deducted all at once, or else may simply invoke the technique normally, in which case there is q constant drain on their Reiyoku. Also, if it is invoked without a time limit, the Prince(ss) cannot cast any spells while this technique remains active, unless they are in the upper echelons of strength, in the topmost tier, in which case they are able to cast spells up to mid level. If the Prince(ss) is in the middle tier, they are able to use low level spells.

Shrunken Ground: By focusing their Reiyoku to their feet, a Prince(ss) is able to move almost instantly between any two points within 5-7 meters. However, this cannot be done while incanting a spell.

Knight Racial Abilities

Artifact: a Knight is able to manifest a weapon or other unique object from the Favor. In it's normal stage, it is an ordinary enough object, perhaps with a unique design, but with no special abilities. It often has the name of the Knight preferred by Sir or Lady somewhere on the item. In the second stage, it becomes a little more unique appearing, and gains a unique ability, much like a Shinigami's Shikai. This is obtained about the same time as the Shikai as well. The third stage, which is equivilent to the Shinigami Bankai, is unlocked last and has a mastered state just like Bankai. In this state, it typically becomes more unique, and expands on the special ability it has in the previous form. The inital form may be summoned at will by the knight, but the second and third forms require help from the Prince(ss). The second and third forms also typically add light-medium and medium-heavy armor to the Knight, though it does not encumber the Knight.
